Ar Tonelico II: Melody Metafalica is one of those games that I had never heard about until Monday when I started listening to the soundtrack. A couple of songs from this game piqued my interest, but it was not until 34 tracks in that "Emotion" really grabbed me. Knowing nothing about the game, I do not know if this song is a generic MakePlayerFeelEmotions.exe music cue like in Radiant Historia , but that shouldn't take away from the song itself.
Another possible reason for deciding on this song is that as we head firmly into November and the weather continues to turn colder, I start thinking of December holy days which leads me to think about Little Inferno even though there is no specific Christmas element to the game (or is there?!), but "Emotions" also evokes the main theme from Little Inferno, a piece that makes me warmly nostalgic and sad at the same time. It is just missing the chimes, but "Emotions" does not really need it as it might then end up feeling like a different song all together, or trying to convey something different.
I apologize, since I do not have any context for how this song works into Ars Tonelico II, I just kind of end up rambling about other things tangentially related to this piece.
